    Names for types of kilt

Okay, so I'm a newbie on here, but I'm getting lost with all the nicknames you have for kilts!

Can somebody kindly explain the meaning of words like "tank", "comp", "UK" etc, please? If somebody could post a list, that'd be great!

I've worked out the acronym names , like SWK, but am struggling to figure out others. I have a sort of picture what most mean, but don't want to make myself look daft by using words incorrectly.

    Cheers

    Bruce

Now splash, you are ruening all the fun of some juicy definitions.

Here is a definition of a tank:

Are you sure it's pink? Maybe it's "maroon".

A 'TANK' is defined as an eight-yard, wool, hand-sewn, traditional kilt. ie., "It's built like a tank." (coined by Jimmy Carbomb c.2005)
And I'd like to add - Xkilt = a contemporary kilt designed by Xmarks member Alan H to be built by the common man seeking an in-expensive and easy alternative.
