Tribal Wars - Part 2
This was a thread that was started awhile back but most or all to my knowledge stopped playing the game. Well knowing me, I signed into it and got instantly hooked.
www.tribalwars.net
If there are those still interested or want to be interested, I could start an Xmarks tribe.
I am Catriona MacKinnon on it. I'm currently on World 18. I'm ranking in the 14,000 range and the proud owner of two villages.
Warning: This game can be slow and tedious. At first it gets fast paced but the deeper you get into it... it's not a game that you're going to be glued to the computer screen for hours on end.
But it is free. I don't see the point in upgrading to the premium account. The reason being that as I have gotten deeper into the game some of my build time vs. resources have been evenly (well disevenly) matched. Meaning I have more need for stuff than the resources to do it with.

I found this game sucks you in to spending a lot of time with you computer. If your going to make a go of it you have to look in on things several times a day, at least in the early stages if your going to survive. I wasn't getting things done that I needed to do and my wife was complaining that I was spending too much time with the machine. I had to cut myself off from this game cold turkey. I have a real life and the game was taking away from it. I do still think about it now and then.

Thanks, but the last thing I need is something else to keep me on the computer. As it is I barely get off to do the things that need to be done...

Really!?!. Maybe it's because I was a die hard EverQuest player but I log in spend 5 minutes setting up what I want to build or upgrade and then leave it to run it's 8 to 12 hour cycle. The longest cycle that I've experienced took me two miserable days to have the resources to build.
In the early stages I logged in twice a day. Maybe 3 times. For me it certainly doesn't keep me from doing my real life activities. And it's not slowed down my book progress or any of my design projects. If it interfered with my real life I would drop it. Also I might want to note that I'm not trying to get anyone to play but if you are an active player than I'm willing to do the tribe thing.
This was a thread that had over 300 posts in it and I just thought to redo the thread for those who are currently active in playing and interested if they were in forming an xmarks tribe.

There used to be a lot of x-marks members playing the game but I think that has dropped off a bit. Good luck in your playing.
