New Job
Well, as a few of you have noticed in some of my latest posts....
HP has decided to consolidate all of their sales and services call centers in Atlanta, GA; Conway, Arkansas; and Rio Rancho, NM. The call center I am in, Federal TSG sales (servers and storage) will move to the sandpit known as Rio Rancho. NOT something I am willing to do, even IF they offer to move me. So, I have found a new job. Selling a subset of the same products I sell now, to a subset of the customers I have now at 33% higher compensation package.
Isn't life Grand?

WooHooo!!!!
(and just what is wrong with the giant kitty litter box knows as Rio Rancho??)
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Just go to google maps or mapquest for the area and look at the aerial view about 10 miles west. The look at the aerial view 10 miles west of Colorado Springs. The tree coverage, altitude and humidity are not up to par with this area. Also, it is 5 hours further from my parents who are in their 80's with Mom in the first stages of Alzheimers and me the closest. Makes it so I can't get to Estes Park for the weekend without taking a day off. And that would have put a serious hurt on my ability to work at the games every year.
Besides, it's a 33% raise for the new job.

Way to go!
I'm glad that things worked out for you.
besides you moving would be a big loss for the Estes Park Games

Livingston, Congratulations on the pay raise. You, I am sure have earned it. Even if it takes a different employer to give it to you.

Right on man! Seems like everyone's getting a new job but me. Helena's got a new job, you've got a new job, but me, no. I have had an interview recently though. Maybe soon...
