Boots for Casual Kilting
The opportunities for casual kilting are greater than formal kilting. I'm always looking for new accessories or more often than not, shoes or boots to complement casual kilt wearing.
What boots are you fond of or lusting after these days? Include a pic and tell us why you like them.
These are my latest objects of desire: Frye Boot's Sid Tall Lace Up.

I like the slouchy style for wearing with kilts. I'm fond of the dark brown color as I'm on a brown leather kick suddenly.
I really like how the folded-down shaft echoes a kilt. Since I have big calves, I can't usually wear boots that high up my leg.
I like the way they show the laces looped around the shaft several times reminiscent of tied ghillie brogue laces.
Alas, they don't make any of their boots, let alone this one, in any size above Size 13. I'm out of luck, but maybe someone else can enjoy them for me. They are also hellishly expensive at $288 a pair. But I suppose all boots cost a lot.
What non-traditional boots or shoes currently tickle the cockles of your kilt-wearin' heart?
