Shirt Question
The kilt I have is one that goes on the navel, as such with one shirt I had on with it my wife liked better untucked. Is there any rules on shirts (including polo and tshirts) being tucked in or not?

Generally kilts look much better with shirts tucked in.
One of the few exceptions to this rule might be a rugby shirt.

No rules per se however I think a kilt looks better when you tuck in your shirt, I suppose though it really is a case of to each their own.

I originally wore my kilt with my shirt untucked, but this was in part due to the more historical (no buckles) version of the kilt I was wearing in a modern setting. Now that I have several more "proper" kilts, I've really grown more accustomed to tucking my shirt in.
It's not something most trouser wearers are used to, but it really suits the kilt better.

Unless the (skin) shirt or (over) shirt will be worn open (unbuttoned) because of the temperature, I prefer the look of my shirts tucked in.

For me, tucked in. Unless, of course, it's a sweater that I'm wearing in the winter.

I have an Iron Maiden hockey jersey that's too thick to tuck in. Otherwise, always tucked. I feel like a slob, otherwise.

I agree with most here. Tucked in and neat always looks better.

I prefer tucked in as well (unless it's a sweater.)

I think everyone can agree on the sweater one. There was a post a while ago where sweaters were discused. Thin long-sleaved ones however were fine to be tucked in was the general concensus.
