    Is it you or me?

Just a curiosity, I've come back to my PC after a few days away (PC turned off) and now XMarks doesn't seem to be holding my cookie. I'll check New Posts, view a few, then spend some time working or checking e-mail, etc. away from the XMTS site but leaving it open in a window.

When I click back to that window -- after as little as 30 minutes, it seems -- I've been logged off. Not only that, but when I log back in and check New Posts, it doesn't seem to recognize my last visit. Threads that I already viewed are still listed at the top, even if there are no entries past my last viewing.

WinXP, IE 7.x, fully updated Norton AV, DSL, pretty standard stuff. Anybody else noticing this, or is it some quirk that's popped up in my system?

    Thanks!

    P.S.

And yes, IE is set to "accept all cookies."

Am I supposed to be able to edit my own posts in this part of the forum? No "edit" button showed up, only "Quote."

    Sigh.

    Update and more clues

Doesn't seem to be specific to my computer. I signed in on BigDad1's PC and the same thing happened. He says it does NOT happen when he is signed in.

Both PCs run Norton Internet Security.

In contrast, I have a business-related Web mail account that I sign into each morning and keep open all day. I am never kicked off at that site, so I don't think it is anything related to Norton's babysitting actions.

Any clues or suggestions of things to check on this end?

OK, never mind. . . whatever you, or I, or Norton did, it's back to normal now.

    It's baaaaack

The forum is continuing to kick me off, sometimes after just a few minutes of inactivity. I can't even type a longish reply without losing it because I have to re-log in. This is the only site where it happens. VERY frustrating. Do you have any clue what is going on?

I have increased the Session Timeout limit. Lets see if that solves it!

Thanks for both replies, I'll clear cookies and we'll see how it goes.
