SOKS Burns Night 2009
So we have a date for our Burns Night, January 23rd, at the Scottish Rite. Now we need volunteers, don't make me pick you . So far I have two people who have expressed interest in the Immortal Memory, Peter and Gary. I will endeavour to recite Tam O'Shanter, so we will still need someone to do the toast to the lasses, the response from the lasses, the Address to the Haggis, (not sure if John can get his brother back as he did a wonderful job last year). Also if you are not interested in doing one of these please have something ready to read as there will be various readings. I am really looking forward to this lets make it as good or better than last year. Below is the front of the program for this year.

If you are interested in doing something please post it here so we know who is doing what. I will hopefully be talking to Kevin when he returns from Florida and will try to find out what the menu will be.

I redid the above, as I thought that it looked too much like lasy years so this is the menu and program for the 2009 SOKS Burns Night

Remember guys please post here if you are interested in doing a reading or one of the set pieces.

Gents,
Do we want to do a tribute to the "Two Lands". I know it's now a staple at our Lodge Burns' Supper...???

We did it last year, I think we should continue with it again this year, I just thought that would go under the More songs and poems part of the evening.

We never did tickets last year, we just gave $20.00 each to the Reverend once we got to the Scottish Rite.
