BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!!!
The DCB will be having a special "brewgrass" night the following Friday on October 3rd with lots of great bluegrass music followed by an open jam session.

Can't make the regular Beer Friday, will have to see about the special brewgrass night. (By the way that event is on honor of the The Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in Golden Gate Park, the most awesome free two day concert event in the world! (I think.)) Its October 4th and 5th. Best regards,

I'll make it down to a kilt night before the years out (I'm at the north end of the bay so it ain't easy on a Friday night).
BTW, (shameless plug) the DCB ought to have my band play there some kilted Friday. We don't play bluegrass, but we can definitely dish up a whole lot of high energy music (most originals with a smattering of unusual covers that you may have never heard or at the least never heard them like we play them) that I guarantee will get the sporrans flapping! (And the guitar player will be kilted!)

You should not only make it down, but make sure to speak to Dan "The Man" Curran and let him know about your band. I'm not sure how they go about picking bands to play on their "Beer Fridays" but he is the guy to go to.

Thanks Jamie! My wife (über organizer and fearless leader of the band) has contacted them before while chumming for gigs--but she didn't have a name. The name might help--if we get a response she'll send out our promo packet. Booking a band is quite a process--especially a wild and crazy 8 piece ensemble!
And just to shamelessly plug a little more, we've never played a venue where we weren't asked back .

I expect to come on Friday, but Scooby is at Mom's this weekend. I wanted to relate that on the way home last week, he told me that his teacher, Mr. Hayes, had downloaded a picture of a man in a kilt for him. I asked how Mr. Hayes knew to do this for him, and he told me that he had told his entire third grade class that we were going to kilt night, I was impressed that he shared this with the whole group and wanted to share.

My beloved F-H.C.A.G. has the sniffles today so I'm not sure how she will be feeling tomorrow night. As much as I love the company and the thought of the Rye IPA two Fridays in a row I may need to stay home and take care of her.
Cheers
