Not being a golfer, I'm not sure what to think about it.
Will this be a bad thing Jock?

Honestly, I have no idea whether this is good or bad.So lets think it through. I am not a golfer, but I do wonder if we really need another golf course-----it seems we do. As a farmer and countryman I have a natural dislike of upsetting the natural balance of things------it seems that some of ground is going to be partially saved. As a businessman who has sold land for development in the recent past----who am I to criticise? I think I heard the employment figures correctly and it is going to employ about 16000 people to build all this and there after there will be 1400 permanant jobs created-----in a recession new money and new jobs cannot be lightly ignored. So on balance, I reluctantly have to say that, yes it is a good idea.

wow really, i thought that they were doing their damnest to stop the megalomaniac from building on those dunes, i thought there was some concern about wildlife etc etc,
at least there will be plenty of sand traps for the oil tycoons to lose their golf balls in...
