    Saffron Kilt Material

    Note that it is 6 metres long, so 19 ft 6 inches which is 6 and a half yards.

    OK for a skinny ma linkey sort, but a wee bit skimpit for those of more ample measure.

    It IS heavyweight, so for a box pleat it would do just fine.

    The seller must be of a very optimistic mind if he thinks it possible to make an 8 yard kilt from 6 metres of fabric.

    I bought a length of the saffron cloth from this seller, it's very nice. I play the Irish Bagpipes, or try to at least, so this is going to be a kilt for when I'm piping. Double boxed al la Lady Chrystel. 6m is just the right length for me.
