London, UK - Eve of St. Andrews Day.
Calling all kilties in the Greater London area, and beyond.
It has been proposed that we have a lunch-time pub gathering in Central London on Saturday 29th November - St. Andrew's Eve. The location is "The Captain's Cabin" in St. Alban's Street, SW1 (this is a small street wedged between Lower Regent Street and Haymarket - not five minutes walk South from Piccadilly Circus).
The suggested time is 12.00 Noon for a couple of hours or so. Some of us have other committments later in the afternoon and will have to leave by somewhere around 3.00pm, so the closer to Noon we can arrive, the better.
Jim and I will be there, as will Steve (sjrapid) and we hope Merrick (LondonPiper) will make it. There are, we know, a number of X Marks members in the area, so please make every effort to join us. It would be great to meet face-to-face for a few noggins and a good chat.
Put the date in your diary NOW!
Take care,
Ham.

Well, now, I have to make a trip up to the City and that seems like a good time to do it, so I should be there barring unforeseen troubles.

That's great, Mark. Judging by the response to this there will not be many of us there, but quality is better than quantity!
Come on EVERYBODY! There are a fair few of us in and around London, so come up West and let's get to know each other ......... think of the photo opportunity too!
Take care,
Ham.

Great! It'll be good to meet you again, Merrick, after 'all these years'!
Unfortunately, Jim will not now be with us as a family event is calling him down to the West Country for a long weekend. He sends his apologies, and I suspect I know where he would rather be!
Take care,
Ham.

Just to give this thread a nudge.
St. Andrews Eve (Saturday 29th) is only three days away and we'd like as many kilted brethren as possible to show up at "The Captain's Cabin" in London's West End.
Come on - you know you want to!
See you there..............
Take care,
Ham.

Sorry, Guys, I would have made the schlep but unfortunately, I have a course I'm running that day in Surrey.
Have a good time though - I'm all in favour of relatively low-key get togethers it makes it all the more normal day-to-day wear in the eyes of others, rather than something 'special'.
All the best
Graham.

Wish I could make it but am cleaning railway carriages ready for the Santa specials on my local preserved railway.

I'd love to join you Hamish, but I likely won't be in London until April and even than it may just be a day or so on the way to Rome and Paris.
