The view from here
Now that the leaves have fallen, the nearby mtns can once again be seen. Here's a pic of Cohutta Mtn. seen from my back porch. The rest of the mtn is hidden by trees and is the location of Fort Mountain State Park.

Great shot. Sorta looks like that off my back deck. I won't post pix because I don't want to compete with the beauty that is right out your backdoor. We live in the midst of the Rockies near Glenwood Springs/Aspen.

You've got a really neat area in your backyard. I photographed the rockworks at Fort Mountain S.P. for a book on Cherokee mythic places back in the early 90's. Very cool place, and on e I want to re-visit someday.

Nice view. Does the mountain become snow capped in the winter?

The actual view is a lot better than the pic. Fort Mtn State Park is a great place to hang out. I'll try and find some pics I took there earlier this year.

Yes, it does. They get the majority of the snow and ice.

We're getting the first snow of the year and the mtns are white.
Here in the valley it's just rain, sleet and snow.
