Tartan wool blend cloth remnants on sale

Fraser & Kirkbright in Canada has limited amounts of wool/polyester tartan remnants at a huge savings. Website here:

The Black Watch is tempting, but a 3" sett might be too small.

Thanks for the lead. And if you scroll around, there's a 4.5" Sett BW

There was a discussion recently on another thread that that seemed impossibly small for a BW sett. Since BW is what Barb T. calls an abac sett, a 3" repeat would be sized for your classic GI Joe figure.

I bought some of the Light Grey, which is no longer listed to practice for some all wool McBeth Modern that I got a great deal on from them as well. If you order from the remnant page, be aware that you will receive no order confirmation, and it will appear that the fabric is still available for purchase until the next regular update.

They do sell to the US, or at least the have in the past, because a number of members here have purchased from them.

If in doubt about shipping etc give them a call. Gordon is a great guy. I am working on my first DIY kilt using the Lindsay they had on the site. The material will make a nice light kick-around, summer hiking and pub kilt. I was over at F and K's last week - I should have looked at the Blackwatch.

Treat 2 setts as a one and you have 6" sett. This is what I've done with my Stewart Black Small Check. My 1/2 cent.

I have purchased 5 or 6 different (5 mtrs of fabric each), including the Black Watch. I pleated one to the green stipe and am pleating the other will be to the sett.
I have never had any problems with Fraiser & Kirkbright. The Black Watch tartan I got in three days after ordering..
