DC Area Kilt night
It seems there are a fair number of us in the DC/Northern Virginia/MD suburban area. We ought to be able with a little planning to get a fairly good size kilt night together.

I was just thinking the other day that it's been a while since we've had a night in the area.
All we need is when and where. I'm planning to be out of town the week of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, but other than that about any weekend would be great.

I will be moving to MD in the middle of January, arriving the week of the 12th. I should be available any weekend after that.

Well Welcome! Where in MD, if I may ask? I currently live in Gaithersburg.
Let's shoot for the 24th as a date. Any suggestions as to where?

I will be working in Laurel, so somewhere close. I don't have a place tied down yet. The first week I am there will be house/apt hunting.

How about doing a repeat of our attack on the Ram's Head Tavern in Savage? Just north of Laurel and south of Jessup. The food is good, the beer is cold and the waitresses attractive. What sayeth the rabble?

I'll talk to DSWMBO&A about Savage Mills. Is the plan for a night or afternoon. My preference is afternoon Savage Mills is about a 1 1/2 hour drive.
If you see abbreviations, initials or acronyms you do not know the Xmarks FAQ section on abbreviations may help.

Its a good location just off the Interstate, and as Frank says, good food and attractive waitresses. The beer being cold is a correctable problem (unless of course you are drinking American beer, so the cold helps kill the taste or lack thereof). Works for me either afternoon or evening.

I would love to participate, but unfortunately, I'll be away that night. Perhaps the next time around.
