My way to New Zealand
Looking for some help.
I want to move to New Zealand.
I am a 4th year Electrical Apprentice.
I am quite capable of all forms of construction.
I have knowledge in electrical, plumbing, rough framing, roofing, finish work, dirt work, painting. As you can tell I am well rounded.
Can anyone help in in my search to find my way to New Zealand.
I know I need to Find a job there as an electrician for starters.
Hoping that the good kiwi's of Xmarks can aid me in my search.

Can't help directly, but have you been to the NZ Immigration site for information, etc? http://www.immigration.govt.nz/

Sorry bud, have only just spotted this post.
Firstly, to find NZ swim south, if you end up in a land that is hot, dry and has no water, and an unusal accent, then you have found australia, then swim east for some time and that, is indeed NZ, ha you have found it.
But if you of course are off track, and end up on a large piece of party ice surrounded by short fellows in tuxedos, then you have gone just a tad to far south...
sorry couldnt resist.
My brother in law is a sparky, and due to the housing and commerical boom in most of the country, the old elekies are in high demand and make some very good money.
How does (your) the qualification compare to that here in NZ, is it an internationally recoginzed qual? that would be something to be wary of, as the government and qual agencies are quite stringent.
othe wise, back to polytech and more hours on the job...as happens to a large portion of our asian friends...
which part of the country are you wanting to settle in?
As pay and costs of living differ from area (province) to area.
the further north the more expensive basically. also the pay rates change.
Have you been here for any form of recce?
A website here in NZ is Seek.co.nz, which is a job advertising company.
giz a Pm if you need any queries looked at...
