    Help

I just got a crail jacket. I am not entirely sure how to wear it and the sporran?
any help would be nice. "Pictures are worth a thousand words" and would be quite helpful as well.

Thanks to all that can aid me in my quest.

How is it a problem to wear them both? I don't understand, they shouldn't interfere with each other.

Here's a photo of a Crail jacket, just in case.

If you wear a waistcoat (vest) with the jacket-skip the belt. The two pics posted above shows you how to do it right.

I also agree. Since you "should not" wear a belt, your sporran will be "hung from a ""sporran belt" The only "decision" is how high you like your sporran. I prefer mine somewhere to the 2 previously shown. Your call. NOTE, the "cut" of your vest will also "come into play.(straight cut or "beveled")

You don't mention if you have a waistcoat (vest) to go with it. So as you said, a picture is worth a thousand words, just don't wear a belt with the vest. The whole purpose of kilt jackets is that they are cut away in front to accommodate the sporan, and they are also cut shorter in the body to not interfere with the swing of the kilt. If you have any more questions, just post a picture and I am sure there will be many willing to help.

    As said
    With waistcoat no belt.

Without a waistcoat a belt is fine, I prefer a casual belt but to each their own.

If I wear my Jacket with out a vest, then I suspend the sporran from staps, not a sporran belt. Although this picture is a "tweed" not a Crail, hopefully you will get the idea.

In more detail. Is the jacket supposed to be worn open or closed or does it even matter?
Then the question on the sporran is hoe to wear it in general?

Kilt jackets in general are worn open, especially with a waistcoat.

Sporran is usually worn a few inches below your belt, or where the bottom of your belt would be, as a general rule of thumb
