Full Circle with the Citrus
About a year ago, as my citrus were abundant and ripe, I started a thread to go with an experiment of gardening in a Buzz Kidder, kakhi canvas kilt. The thread died before I could get the much needed pictures. Gees, the things and changes that have gone on in one year...
It's come full circle now and I can report that I no longer garden in a kilt, and I have an abundance of ripe citrus including grapefruit. I still have everything packed up in plastic storage boxes, though, I might not sell the place and move this year... They did fix the gas leak a couple of houses down, but it's still kind of dead down there... Still have the six farm cats. Also, my neighbor has built a two story storage barn along side my property in the back...
Maybe I will move this year...
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

I have a Meyer Lemon tree in my library that is ripening.
Victoria
Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.

Ya, those are good lemons and trees. It was starting just a few years back that we, in Arizona, were allowed to grow those because of one of the citrus viruses it can carry.
I have a navel orange on a sour orange root stalk that makes extremely sweet oranges. I've cloned him for if I move.
Anyway, that's that.

I guess I am used to living out of and having everything in plastic storrage boxes at this point. I was just going through one of them looking for a couple of things and getting stuff organized a little better.
I do how ever want to get another rolling clothes rack, the good strong, tubular metal kind, so I can just move the whole closet without having to pack any of that stuff. My kilts, accessories, and suits take up most of the closet.

And... I did get a new rolling clothes rack. I forgot this is where I first brought it up. It works well and I can use it for kilts in part.
Everybody got their fig trees; I started a bunch of new cuttings; and I have started moving some of the young citrus trees to a trench I dug and had filled with compost a while back.
Those were the rootstalk trees I had growing in containers. Some will be used as bonsai material, others can recieve grafts. I don't have the skills to bud graft successfully, so I use an aproach graft between a rootstalk in a container, and a momma tree that's in the ground. Sometimes I plant the rootstalk in the ground near the momma tree, though.
Oh! I forgot to say that I do have a good crop of broccoli out there, and they are starting to make their heads.
Just thought you might want to know.
