    Glengarry with a PC?

I know there was a thread on to hat or not to hat when wearing a PC but I can't find it.

Would my glengarry be inappropriate with a PC, tux shirt, bow tie, etc.
Why, a child of five could understand this. Quick -- someone fetch me a child of five!

I believe this may be the thread to which you refer?

Short answer: Glengarry would be fine... just not indoors.

It'll work just great. My brother wears one . . . but it'll look good on you. (Humor. See Caddy Shack. )

Last year at our Burns Supper, our friend Turpin wore a glen with his PC, I believe, and it looked very nice.

Don't wear hats indoors unless you're cooking, piping, or policing.

The badge is great!! Can that image be used- thinking t-shirt wise. Or is it copyrighted?

If it's not stepping on someone's toes, I believe I have a buddy who can have that made into a high-quality metal badge. I don't know if it would look okay on a beret or tam but it's a good looking badge. ith:

I want one of those badges! Come on, someone tell us if it's copyrighted.

Btw, here is a great little shot of Turp in a PC with Glengarry on his noggin. He was addressing a haggis at the time, so you can rest assured he was properly attired. No way Turp would insult a haggis.

    Plaid Brooch

Something I've noticed of late has been the placement of plaid brooches. I don't mean to pick on you Turpin, but this photo is perfect for this topic.

Many more people wear the brooch pinning the plaid on the chest, rather than in the position it was intended, which is closer to the shoulder. The plaid stays in place better when pinned properly.

That doesn't look like a PC that Turpin is wearing as the waistcoat buttons look too high...

But as a general rule of thumb gentlemen do not wear headgear indoors.
