A trilogy of walking sticks.
It's about time I posted some more work on here!
I've been busy as a beaver with my woodwork lately having decided to sell a few things on Ebay to make some extra cash.
Most of the stuff isn't particularly Kilt Related, but here are three walking sticks/staffs that I made recently to sell on Ebay.
First, a big, 6 feet long, dramatic Cedar wood staff.
It's carved with the 'symbols' for the elements, a wolf, an eagle, a salmon, a bull and a big snake spiraling down it.
Second is a Beech wood walking stick with a nice grip and a nice spiral around it.
And finally, a nice one made from Oak. An interesting grip and just a wee bit of carving circles to make it stand out.
I'm pretty happy with how they turned out even though they're pretty simple and it's made me start thinking of making a nice walking stick or Cromach for myself!!!

YOU should be Proud. Thet are all GOOD sticks, but IMHO the "symboled" staff is GREAT. Can you take some "close ups of the carving ???

"Busy as a beaver" and wood. Might be a problem there!

Yes, that first stick with the totem on it is an interesting idea.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Great looking sticks. Best of luck with selling them. In today's economy anything that makes an added buck is worthwhile.

Nice! Could we get a closer view of the top of the oak staff?
Beech makes excellent hiking sticks, I find the weight works better than a very light stick. I imagine the oak is similar.
