    Shadow tartan kilt jacket

I think this kilt jacket and waistcoat in possibly "Dark Island" worn by Hardeep Singh Kohli, seen here with Louise Doughty at last year's Man Booker Prize reception, is pretty cool.

Sett is definitely not Black Shadow, and it is close but does not appear to match my Black Isle. Not exactly sure what it is made of.

I sort of think it looks like House of Edgar "Dark Island."

Hard to tell what it is, but it certainly is interesting, I'd say it takes a certain flair to carry it off, it looks to me as if Hardeep can do it.

I like the look of it. Not sure I could, but looks like he's pulling it off and then some.

Amazing fabric for a jacket and waistcoat. If it were me I'd want the waistcoat cut on the bias just to keep things interesting...

Thumbimg through MacHummel's swatch book, I saw 4 or 5 different black shadow tartans. Often thought about a jacket made in the stuff to go with my SWK. Judging by Rex's pic, it might've been too much. Good to see different cultures embracing and respecting the kilt.
