Tartan Day Celebration Murfreesboro, TN
The Heart of Tennessee Scottish Celebration will be hosting a Tartan Day Celebration around the square in Murfreesboro, TN on Saturday, April 4th, from 1PM to 6PM. These are the same folks who hosted the Tennessee Highland Games, that to a hiatus last year. According to the card I recieved, there will be music, genealogy, highland dance, vendors, and exhibitions, plus a whisky tasting. There will also be clan tents of which I will be hosting one for Clan Barclay.
As far as I know, this will be the only Tartan Day celebration in middle Tennessee. This may be a way for the group to gauge if there is still an interest for highland games in middle Tennessee. Oh, and the best part is that it's FREE. There should be plenty of free parking in the parking garage beneath City Hall and the library.
I know this a little early, but I wanted all of the middle Tennessee rabble to know ahead of time so you can mark your schedules. If you need directions, let me know.
Post here if you think you can make it.

Heath,
That sounds like fun, I'll try to get up there for it. I haven't been there since they stopped having the games.

That's great guys. Spread the word. I don't know how much publicity this will get in the community. Tell your friends.
Anyone else coming?

Bump
This event is next weekend. This will also be the debut of a new local celtic band. Don't know if they have a name or not, but they will be doing covers of some of the big name groups. I hope there is a big turnout for this. Not sure what kind of vendors will be there. I hope everyone local can make it.

Hello Heath, I just found out I won't be coming after all. But the reason is good. I'll be getting geared up for a new job. I give my notice tomorrow. If the boss fires me on the spot I can go right to work for the other fellow, of I should say woman.
