Communcation at Scottishkilts.net
Dear Kilted Ones,
I had an interesting go around with Scottishkilts.net today.
I had not received ANY acknowledgment of several messages I sent to them on there "contact us" message utility and was growing a trifle desperate (i.e. above and beyond the Jones-ing I understand to be endemic). I returned to the website and sent another message, NOT thru the message utility bit rather thru the info@scottishkilts.net link.
Within hours I got a reply!
Apparently they were unaware that the message utility was not working.

That's good to know, because I've been having the same problem with them and did not know what to do next. They have always been a tad remiss on their communications to customers. Thanx for the info.

Yeah, I ain't buying that "we didn't know it wasn't working" bit.
It took me a whole year--literally, a full year!--to get them to ship a jacket I'd paid for a few years back, and they didn't answer any of my emails for months on end. Then suddenly, they finally sent the jacket. Even if they didn't know their com was down, they knew they had my money.
I fear they're a bit shaky.

I also tried to contact them via the web page a couple of months ago....no reply. I then sent them an email via the info@ address.....no reply. The "we didn't know" excuse sounds like bs to me. And with 25 years in law enforcement, I think I know bs when I hear it! On the other hand, I ordered a "Wallace" jacket from them and received exactly what I wanted at a very good price. I will do business with them again but their communication skills definitely need improvement.

Dear Kilted Wonders,
I appreciate the comments all.
I received today an email notifying me that my kilt is in transit with a tracking number to confirm it.
My only comment regarding some of the above is that perhaps the complaints have fostered an improvement in performance.
I will keep you all up to date.
