I have always had a soft spot in my heart for that song. My grandfather would sing it to me from day one, he being a man from Cork et al. Muppets just put some of their own flair to it, I loved it lol

I think those are actually the original words... at least they're the lyrics I hear towards the end of every St. Patrick's day.
