None of this should surprise anyone
I had one of those weekends that confirmed over and over again the wisdom of wearing a kilt.
Saturday I went out shopping, kilted of course. While waiting for my turn in the checkout line, a very attractive young woman of maybe 16 came up to me and said "Dude, you just rock in that kilt". She then turned to her boyfriend who was in front of me in line, kicked him in the rear, and said "You need to get one of those!" I'm about to turn 48, so being noticed by a young woman, while a little creepy, was rather invigorating. The boyfriend looked like he swallowed a frog.
Today I went on a hike in Sabino Canyon with my friend and his girlfriend. I met them at a local restaurant where we have a coffee and plan the final details of our hike. When she saw me she turned to my friend and said, "You didn't tell me he would be wearing a kilt. I love men in kilts. When are you going to get one." She said she used to belong to the SCA, Society of Creative Acronyms, and used to love going over to ogle the men in kilts. On our hike at least 5 different woman commented on the kilt, all positive, 3 different men asked me about the kilt. When I told one of them that it's the only way to hike as air can reach all the important parts( it was 80 deg F today in Tucson) he turned to his wife and said "I have to get one of those" to which she replied, "Well it's about time".
And on the way home I stopped for some groceries. The woman behind me in the check out line asked me "Did you have as much fun today as it looks like you did?" We talked for a bit. She was of Scottish heritage and just loves men in kilts.
All in all in it was quite a pleasant day. I think I will continue to wear my kilts.
Like that needs to be said.
Kilt on everyone

Don't you wish you knew what you do now when you were younger?

A great story of a great day! I'll have you know I did stop to think for a moment what a society of creative acronyms might be/do.

I often do, but then I also remember some of the other stuff that went with it, and decide I'll stay a certified old fart, and enjoy my current status as "Distinguished Scottish Gentleman." <<(That is my wife's reaction to that comment.)

Outstanding day !
I have often wished that I knew then, what I know now. But then the nature of my reality would have been altered, and would I be here in this life now ?
Still, it would have been a bit more fun, maybe.
My wife was not really prepared for the positive reactions of other women the first time we went out to a concert with me kilted. It was, interesting...

The power of the kilt!!! I was in the grocery store today and a woman said, "A man in a kilt! Why don't I have my camera!"

The kilt strikes again!
I'm only in my mid-30's, and I agree, it's a bit creepy to get noticed by a fair youngling lass, but still quite invigorating. I love it when they're with their BFs and tell them that they need to "kilt up".
I would have been getting into too much trouble if I was kilted at 16!

That's a great story! Like The Barry, it's great when the BF is there to be told to get kilted!!!
I had one today when I returned to the Highland Games in Phoenix, after helping my wife to her car, I passed two ladies leaving the venue when one of them said, intentionally loud enough to be heard, "men in kilts are sexy!" I wish my wife had been there to hear that.
