Moqui Cave
So a friend and I made a road trip today to score some great unpasturized cheese over on the Arizona Strip. Coming back through Kanab, Utah he wanted to show me the Moqui Cave - a tourist attaction.
First chance we had to grap a pic. This is outside the entrance at a Navajo loom...which is kinda weird since Moqui (aka Moki) is an old name for Hopi and I'm wearing my black Hopi hoodie.
USA Kilts Firefighter's Memorial semi-trad with black kilt hose. There's no white in the tartan (pretty sure??) but the white traditional garters and hoodie imprint seem to work anyway.
I'm really really lovin' this tartan. Not just for what it stands for, but for how great it looks.

It is a great tartan, Ron. The white garters do go together well, IMHO.

Great photo Ron, I really think the weaving you're standing beside is really beautiful, it's nice to see it beside a tartan.

That is an awesome tartan. My wife and I are trying to decide between that one or the American Heritage tartan for my first tartan kilt.
And I am liking the white garters!

Hey Ron!
It is a tourist trap--but I love Moqui cave. The bar there was the only watering hole near a certain western-movie-making town, so the big stars...Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, Fess Parker, etc--they all hung out on those solid stump barstools!
Something most people wouldn't dig so much (pun intended) but they have a few amazing paleo spear points on display in there, too.
I've taken a bunch of folks there, but you've got one on me--haven't been there kilted yet
So what I really want to know...did that red kilt glow under the fluorescent lamps?!?

Well, the bar is pretty much display now, actually two of them. Dang, didn't look at the kilt under the lights...might have - at least the gold stripe. Were more movie star pics at Nedra's Mexican restaurant in Kanab...and some day I'm gonna stop at Parry's Motel and check thier pics...
Ya gotta watch them movie stars. Sometimes they got a little fresh...The Duke got after me in a side room at Denny's Wigwam in Kanab last summer....

Nice photo Ron. That is a good looking tartan. The garters work as well.
