    Wearing two different tartans together

    Ladies and Gentlemen,

Periodically the subject of wearing two different tartans in the same outfit come up on our forum.

Some time back I found a beautiful Black Watch wool tartan blazer at a thrift store. It happened that last week I came across a perfect Lindsey tartan waist coat. Looking at the colors of both tartans I decided to give combining them a try.

It isn't a kilted outfit, but I could just as easily be wearing a solid color black kilt instead of trousers.

The question is does this work?

    Cheers

    Jamie

Aye, of course it works. That's why our unit (Muskets of the Crown, Inc.) enjoys doing Jacobite, cause of the mixing and (un)matching of tartans.

The answer, Yes. At least it works for me. I can't comment though on what others might say.

    Nick and Phil,

Put Rob on the "The List"

He is obviously going to be one of the first ones against the wall when the bow tie revolution comes about!

    Cheers

But there will also be that forum filled with brave non-bow tie wearers who will stand up against the bow tie tyranny.
