A hearty endorsement of KL Kilts

I know: if there are no pictures, it doesn't exist. Yeh yeh yeh. This isn't really about the new kilt as customer service.

I ordered a Pride of Scotland kilt from eBay seller KL Kilts. Most of their kilts run about $45-$50, and they're comparable to the old SWK economies, including three leather straps/buckles. A good value, in my opinion. I bought a Black Stewart from them some weeks back and really like it.

I ordered the Pride of Scotland late Thursday night, and it arrived in my mailbox at work today. Borderline Stillwateresque, if you ask me.

I don't hear a lot about this seller on XMTS, but I think they deserve a look.

Would you mind giving so more details about it? I have never had a SWK.

Stillwater used to have an economy kilt that sold for $50, I think, and fit right in between the thrifty and the standard.

It's acrylic, which loses some purists, but it's machine washable, surprisingly soft and holds the pleats well.

Their tartan selection is pretty limited: Royal Stewart, Black Watch, Gordon, Mackenzie, Hunting Stewart, Black Stewart, Scottish National, Pride of Scotland, Irish Tradition, Irish Tradition Dress, Cameron, Kerr, Wallace, Thomson Camel, Desert Watch and Night Watch.

One downside is that they are not pleated to the fell.

Not sure what else to tell you, except I like their products.

Do you mean that the fell is not stitched down?
