Sporran tassels

Hello, Most of the sporrans I see for men are 3 tassel. most of the boys have 2. But I am looking at a fullsize with 2 tassels. Anybody have any info. on this subject? thanks

You might go to the Scottish Tartans Museum link on this page and then go to their shop, and then sporrans. You'll see a link where you can design your own sporran. There's an option there that shows variations of tassels for what L&M Sporrans offers - they're the manufacturer.

Fair warning. Just look at the tassel part. If you start playing around with the design features and do design your own sporran you're probably gonna wind up ordering it.

There is a vintage day sporran that I am looking at that has two tassels . It is fullsize.

I was looking for same thing when I ordered my kilt. I didn't find anything around like that. It would have been a custom order. A little pricier than the off the shelf item. But if its what you want, go for it.

Our build-a-sporran does not currently allow you to have only 2 tassels. At some point in the future I will be adding that option. If we can be of some assistance, just contact us. As 2 tassels on ANY of our sporrans would not be a problem.

Yes, is the short answer, although they would probably work better on a hair sporran (either goat or horse) than a fur or leather sporran.

As little boys grow into big boys they go from two tassels to three. It is this maturity thing. But since most of us who are kilted aren't that mature to begin with I would think any number of tassels would be okay.
