Where are the Pub's in Nashville?
Hey Nashville,
I am gonna be down there next Saturday the 4th. The women's group from one of the curches I serve is going down to Old Time Pottery and I was wandering about good Pubs.
If at all possible I would like to meet some of you but not sure about working that out. (on a sad note I wont be kilted.)
Slainte,
TKR

You could come down to the Tartan Day celebration in Murfreesboro that day. Its about 25 miles SE of Nashville on I24. There is an OldTimePottery in Murfreesboro. The celebration is between 1PM and 6PM on the town square. The only real pub type place in Nashville is on 2nd Ave, downtown Nashville. I can't think of the name of at the moment.
If you are interested I can give you directions.

It's called Mulligan's Pub. They play only traditional Irish music. But very smokey place, unfortunately. Close to Broadway on 2nd Ave.

Who needs a real pub when you can go to the "Flying Saucer" which I guaranty is going to be kilt friendly. I have to admit I have not worn my kilt there as I no longer fit into it since my Army days. But still I have tipped back a few beers there and it is a very laid back friendly place with every beer imaginable for sale. It is off Broadway not far from a place called the Union Station. You can also go to "The Beer Cellar" which is off 2nd Ave and it is a place I have seen people where kilts from time to time. A place called "The Basement" is great for live music and cool atmosphere as well, located off 8th Ave.

I've been to the Saucer in Nashville. It's in the old Train Depot. Pretty cool place.
