It looks like a nice day in St. Charles; it's just as windy down here in the SW corner of the state today.
For those who may not realize it, the river in the photos is the Missouri. St. Charles is a wonderful little river town, filled with a history, such as the story of James Mackay, the Scot who gave Lewis & Clark detailed maps of the Missouri before they set off on their expedition.
I'll be back in 2010!

well
If you can't already tell in the photos, it is very windy here as well. I was the only MacNaughton tartan in sight, not tent for them either. It felt kind of good, I got lots of nods from all the MacLeods and Blackwatchers! If Blackwatch was a clan we all would be way outnumbered!

darn it!
And the announcer for the athletics had a little joke "We don't know who invented these games, the scots or the irish, the only difference between the scots and the irish is the irish pray on they're knees, and the scots prey on they're neighbors!" He told this joke about every 5 minutes, it lost its juice the 5th time I heard it.

I'm quite impressed that you can juggle a port-a-potty. That would have been quite the photo, for sure. But I enjoyed your other ones. Looks like a nice day.

Rex.

It was quite windy at the Tartan day at the E.H. Young Park in Riverside Missouri; in fact saw a few things I would like to forget
