Hey now! How great to be able to rustle up a rabble like that.
Regards,
Rex.
At any moment you must be prepared to give up who you are today for who you could become tomorrow.

I'm just curious as to the purpose of your group. Is it just a Scottish culture group, or--as the name might imply--are you folks monarchists, and working to restore the Stewart family to the British throne?

We are a History and Genealogy group that is "Jacobite" themed. When we voted on names the candidates were: Caledonians, Celts, Jacobites, Picts, & Scoti. Many of my lessons are based on the Jacobite era. My current lesson will be on the Battle of Culloden April 16, 1746. Some of my past articles have been on Irish, Campbell, & English Jacobites. And yes folks, there were Irish, Campbell, & English Jacobites. Our website is packed with links on the Jacobite era as well as history, genealogy, heraldry, tartan, music, and Gaelic. Many of the weblinks are videos, so those are fun and easy to enjoy with actually learning something in the process.
Our group is headed in the direction of growth and it is an exciting time. We are starting to acquire local "P.R." volunteer gigs which is great.
On the other question; we do not associate with the actual current "Jacobite Party" in the UK. If there was a party that we would support, it would be the SNP and their Freedom "Reformandom" vote 2010. But enough of that, we are not aloud to discuss the "P" topic here. I've had enough of my threads closed because of that.
