Kilted Climb for Charity
Hey all! It's one of my brief opportunities at the computer, so I wanted to get this up -
On March 22nd, I participated in "The Big Climb," as I mentioned in this thread.
I completed all 69 floors in just under 16 minutes.
Thanks to the generosity of many - including some very unexpected donations from Xmarkers - I not only met my fundraising goal - I exceeded it by $250.00.
Here I am after the climb:

Stillwater blackwatch, and Nightstalker sporran, with Wicked Tinkers on the ipod.
Since I was climbing with a group of fellow improvisers, we wore our team shirts.
When some of my cohorts found out I was going kilted, they decided to as well.

Sorry for the blurriness, I think I got some sweat on the lens.
There is one more photo someone snapped with their iphone................
At the very top, the organizers had placed some power fans at floor level, to help the climbers cool off.
So I did......

Congratulations. 69 floors in 16 minutes,...That sounds like you were going a little faster than a leisurely pace. What was the fastest time?

Good job - fun photos. I can only imagine that climbing that many flights of stairs was made easier in a kilt. What did your pals think?
Regards,
Rex.

I take it that the climb was done inside rather than outside?
