    Sporran chain?

So, if my navel measurement is 36 inches, how long should my sporran chain be?

    Hi Deano,

I think 42 inches max - the chain belt has adjustment, up or down, if you need more or less.

    Regards

Get a medium one. Just make sure that you have some to go on. I find it more comfortable lowering the sporran a wee bit when I'm sitting down. Then it neatly pushes down the front a bit better.

I too fine it a little on the "loose"side makes it more comfortabe while setting or driving. I tried it snugg once and it made for a long day's outing.

Sitting and driving, I will slide the sporran off to the side and just let it hang out of the way. I can't stand when my sporran hangs too low and is bouncing on my thighs while walking.

    Hey Deano,

Just in case you didn't know, a lot of us prefer leather sporran belts/straps to chains for anything other than formal wear. The reason is that chain belts have been known to cause damage to the kilt from rubbing, plus, at least for me the leather ones are easier to adjust. I also prefer the look. Just check out Cavscout's web site http://www.oconeeleatherworks.com/ to see the kind I'm talking about.

    Best regards,

    Jake
