Savannah, GA Athletes?
Hey yall. New to the forums. I'vecome across the site before but never registered till now. Anyways, I've made a goal for myself to be able to compete in a highland game by this time next year. (most likely the savannah, GA games). I was wondering if any athletes were in the area that I could train with, or could suggest a place to train?
I've read through the starter athlete thread here already and I'm thinking I'd like to attempt the Braemer or Open stone throw events.
Anyhoo, just thought I'd see if there was anyone in the area to train with.

Hello again... I'm most definitely NOT one of the area athletes, but you might want to touch base with a member here who goes by Kilt_Noob. He lives nearby and will be a part of our get together around this years games. He's expressed an interest and may be trying his hand a bit this year.

Just keep in mind when you compete, you have to do all the events not just one or two like the stones.

Oh really? Hmm. i wouldnt mind doing all of them. I just didn't imagine id be good at the others. I have no problems training for all of them... Its really jsut a matter of making sure i train the right way, which at the moment I have no real idea how to do.
