    The Road to Bali

I was watching "The Road to Bali," the old Hope and Crosby film on TCM. I hadn't seen it in a while and didn't remember that they appear in kilts and pretend to play the pipes in one scene. There's actually one part where you catch a glympse of Hope's striped boxers under the kilt. I couldn't tell what tartan they were wearing, mostly black and red. A cute bit. Both wore glengarrys and sporrans.

    Cheers,
    David

Yep. Here they are from the Vintage thread.

Bob and Bing on a road trip:

    Left to right: Bing Crosby (1904 - 1977), Dorothy Lamour (1914 - 1996)
and Bob Hope (1903 - 2003) in contrasting Scottish and Balinese outfits
in a publicity shot for Hal Walker's musical comedy 'Road to Bali', 1952.

We actually have that on DVD and watched it just a couple of months ago. Funny movie. They actually wore the kilt pretty well all things considered.
