Spokane Wa kilties
Mods, if I have this in the wrong section please move it.
I was wondering if I could get some imput from any Spokane kilties out there.
I'm considering a job offer from a Spokane company and was wondering what if any kilt friendly experiences have been had there. I did notice that there appears to have been some Highland Games near there, but what else?
Not that the response to a kilt will deter from the region, as that can be worked on but, I was just wondering what the current climate is.
Cheers.

I believe I'm the longest member of this forum from Spokane.

I've had very few "bad" experiences. Most have been very positive. Yes, the Spokane Highland Games are in their 51st year. They are on August 1, 2009. When you get here pm me and I'll get you set up with more info on the Games.

Not in Spokane but across the border in Coeur d Alene but I'll happily echo my friend Kiltman. VERY few "bad" experiences and many many good ones. Oh yeah - its also a beautiful part of the country...

Thanks for the input. From what I'm hearing, "bad" is the exception and good the norm.
Though there are Renaissance Faires and Games here they are all a good distance away from where I'm at right now. It sure would be nice to be someplace where I'm not always the "crazy in a skirt".

Gosh, Randall. We attended the Celtic Coastal Society Burns night in Florence this year and there were upwards of 100 kilties there. Also, there are Highland Games in Winston, not too far up the road. Captmac was kilted the entire weekend. The clerks in Fred Meyer thought he was too cute!!

Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.

IMHO, MOVE TO SPOKANE !! It is a GREAT PLACE to live.
Although I do not live there (I now live on the LEFT side of the state ) I do "visit often. GOOD KILTED experiences.
Also, My family has been in the Spokane area for over 100 years. My youngest daughter recently graduated from GONZAGA U.
