Cutting Back...What about you?
The economic downturn has just hit me personally today. I got an e-mail from my boss of my 2nd job telling me that she needed to talk to me (oh no!). I sat down with her and she informed me that due to budget cuts, I would be losing about 2 months of teaching time, which is close to twenty percent of my pay. Plus my hourly wage would be going down a few dollars as well. I decided to look at the glass half full and say, "At least I will still have the job the other 10 months of the year." I feel like I stayed pretty positive. However, cutting that much from my pay is going to have ramifications. This is where kilts come in. There is only one thing I really like: Kilts. I was about to go and purchase my new kilt from Burnetts and Struths, based on Alan H's recommendations (Thanks Alan!). However, that has been put on hold indefinitely until me and the wife can see how the budget is going to turn out. Plus with a baby on the way, things are going to get tighter. I got really bummed out when I realized I could not get my new kilt. I am not sure what to do now.
I just wanted to know if any of your kilt buying habits have been affected by the downturn in the economy. If so, is there any way to deal with it!? It feels like an eternal jones to me!
