Impromptu Kilt Night at Fredericksburg Pub
Sir William answered the impromptu call to join me in some heavy lifting at the Fredericksburg Pub. Bellhaven Scottish Ale turned out to both our weapons of choice. It was a grand time of sharing family ancestries, our Middle East adventures and our plans for our upcoming trips to Scotland for The Gathering.
I look forward Bill, to repeating the exercise in the near future!

Bill is wearing his Newsome box pleat in Leatherneck tartan. I am wearing a Sport Kilt in Black Watch tartan

Impromtu or not, we had a good time.
A very kilt friendly place! I arrived a few minutes before Mael and before I could order my first ale, was asked to pose for a photo and then someone came over to discuss the tartan.

It is Memorial Day (weekend) so military associated tartans are most appropriate!
The badge on my sporran, by the way, is for the Scottish-American Military Society (SAMS).
