DFW Kilt Night - Pink Boxer Solider Kilt Dedication
Attention All DFW Kilters. Colonel MacNeal has organized a pledge fund for the "pink boxer soldier," Specialist Boyd - who is from the Fort Worth Area.
We will be having a dedication and pub night in his honor on Saturday, July 11th at 5:00pm.
It will be held at :
Fox and Hound English Pub & Grille- Ft. Worth-Downtown
603 Houston Street
Fort Worth, TX 76102
The Fox and Hound is located adjacent to Paddy Red's, giving us the opportunity to "crawl" later in the evening.
Please join us in celebrating this young man's service.
PM me or Colonel MacNeal for further information.

DFW Celtic Musicians & Performers!
We need your help with the kilting ceremony for SPC Boyd on Saturday, 11 July. (Downtown Fort Worth, Fox & Hound 5pm) Need a few celtic performers to honor us with their talents in a few short sets as part of the ceremony. We have one piper already, but could always use another, fiddlers, singers, dancers, percussionists, storytellers, etc. Need to be able to work acoustic. Please contact McMathTX - he agreed to be our entertainment coordinator.

Is Specialist Boyd going actually be present? That would be really neat!
Looking forward to the pics either way!

Yes - that's it. He will be there to receive his kilt & goodies and then return in a few minutes kilted. Wish some musicians would step up and agree to play while he's changing.
We're also hoping for someone to volunteer to video, and then we could put the vid up on YouTube.
Cheers, ColMac

I won't be going, and I don't really play the fiddle well enough for public ears right now anyway.
I have mentioned to some of my Celtic musician friends, but I don't know if any of them would have the time or interest to do it.
Good luck with this.

I'd be happy to hold a camera if someone supplies one.
My step-father is a photographer. I'll see if he wants to go.

You don't have to be kilted to attend! Lots of other non-kilties (regular Fox & Hound patrons) will be there.
