We're headed for Napa!
At the end of July, the Wife and I are headed out to Napa for a few days then on to San Francisco. Any suggestions on things to see or places to go??

If you can get into a hotel/motel that offers "mud baths" go for it! They are mostly in the Calistoga area, very relaxing. There are also some very neat olive farms that offer olive oil and lots of other good food products.

That Mud Bath thing is one of the things my wife wants us to do. She thinks it will be a Hoot to see me covered in muck!!!

My wife and I lived in Saint Helena last year while she was in culinary school (the CIA at Greystone.)
Our favorite winery is called Elizabeth Spencer. They have a tiny tasting room in Rutherford across the street from the Rutherford Grill. They make a huge variety of terrific wines.
Our favorite restaurant is called Ad Hoc. It's in Yountville and is Thomas Keller's family dining concept. They offer one meal a night--you get a salad, main course, cheese course, and dessert--for a flat price per diner. I think it's around $45 per person, which sounds expensive unless you're used to dining in Napa. You can see the daily offering here.
If you want any more suggestions, feel free to post here or send me a pm and I'll be glad to help out.

P.S. Here's a teaser photo

It's the view of the valley from Newton Vineyards. It's a great winery, but appointment only and very pricey. I only went because my in-laws were paying.

Chuckle I did, too, but I'm sort of a mountaineering groupie. This is the time of year for summit reports out of Nepal and Tibet.
Napa is California wine country in Napa county.
