    Ebay Kilt seller

Has anyone had dealings with these folks? Thier advertisement is appealing, but a couple of thier feedbacks are scarry. The address is

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...E:B:EF:GB:1123

I don't know how to put this in as a hyperlink, but you can cut and paste to the ad site.

D*mn! I quess I did know how to hyperlink! Give me my clay tablets anyday. :-)

An 8 yard kilt that weighs 2 pounds?

That one alone should set off some alarms.

I read thru those 37 pages of feed back and only one(1) was a neutral not a negative feedback. I am a long time e-bay seller and have one (1) negative report. And I understand how this can happen, but what I don't understand is how you can stand hear and pass judgement as you are doing from what some stranger has reported on a sale we know nothing about. If you read the responce to the feedback you can clearly see the sellers responce!

Was the buyer using a bathroom scale to weigh the kilt? Did he weigh himself,
then put the kilt on and re-weigh himself, we will never know.
So lets not judge this seller without knowing ALL the facts.

If you have some real first hand knowledge lets hear it...........................I'll get off now!

I must agree with JolyStNicholas. Having one neutral response with 945 feedbacks since 1992 is a little harsh to be calling these poor kiltmakers out on. Email them first with your concerns and get a reply back and see what they have to say. With the kind of obviously great reputation they have on EBay they deserve to have the benefit of any doubt you may have.

My humble opinion on the matter being an EBay seller myself.

I too have sold on ebay for a number of years. I had one customer out of over a thousand who gave me negative feedback. I sold her a collection of sheet music and she was upset in was not a bound edition (the picture clearly showed it was not.) She gave me a blistering review and then contacted me for a refund, which I promptly provided. When dealing with the public you are bound to deal with a few loons.

I just liked the the overall tone of these folks advertisement. I've book marked thier site and may well give them a try.

    They sell this kilt?!?

I bought a kilt identical to this as something to play rugby in. It is NOT worth £99.00 ($200). I bought mine for $35 and still felt a little ripped off....

    Stickler for detail that I am, £99.00 = $159.33.

I guess by the time you factor in shipping and whatnot, it may end up around $200.

For that kind of money, though, I don't know why you wouldn't use one of the site's sponsors, like USA kilts, where you know exactly who you're dealing with and exactly what you'll get.

Probably not George, there's no "Heritage of..." Tartans in the list.
