Help in measuring for Burnett's and Struth Casual Kilt

I am about ready to purchase my first wool kilt from B&S. After looking over their measurement form that you have to fill out, I am a little nervous. It has several things I have never measured for before when buying a kilt. I don't want to mess this up. If anyone could give a little better explanation than they are doing, I would appreciate it. (I understand what they are saying to me, but don't understand why. Numbers 3 and 4 really got me on the right side)

    Here is the measuring form:

    Thanks,

    Brice

Basically you are measuring from the top of your hip bone, to the knee (center or just above). Then they will add the waist band measurement... As I understand it.

    B&S Measurement.

I got a kilt from them, I filled in the form and did not understand it either. However, when It arrived, if is a fine and perfect fitting kilt and I am very happy with it.
Best kilt I own and is in my MacHardy clan tartan.

Best if you can get someone else to run the tape, but I measured myself and everything turned out great; just follow the directions. The #B is from hip to where you want the kilt to fall on the knee. #D is from the belly button to that same place. One of the most important measurements is C the seat might want to measure 2 times to make sure you have it right.

    Cheers,

    Measuring

I have a B&S Casual measured as L 23 1/2 + 2 and I was measured in their shop. I am 6'2" and wear a 40W - 32 L trouser as a guide. The instructions by others should suffice. The kilt comes to mid-knee and I am very pleased with it..

This is a guide from my tailor's brochure although I don't know if it helps. I think B&S are taking the length from your natural waist and then adding on above that so I would stick to what they ask (i.e. from the top of the bone at your waist)
