Got home yesterday and found a hang tag from FedEx on the door. Fortunately I live about 20 minutes form the Airport and FedEx office so was able to get there before they closed at 7:00pm. A package from Victoria BC with Freedom Kilts logo on the label. Yea!!!! The eight week jones was over.

Home again it was opened and inside was the new kilt, matching flashes, oatmeal socks and two shirts I had left with Steve for embroidery.

First the shirts. On the left an XMTS logo, on the right a Clan MacRae Crest:

The kilt came with a personalized hang tag. Care instructions, measurements and made by Margie. What a great idea!

Wore the kilt to work today. Got a lot of favorable comments. Over here we are close to MCAS Cherry Point and Camp Lejeune so many recognized the Marpat Desert pattern. If you look close you can find the EGA with the USMC underneath in the pattern.

First from the front:

Then the pleats:

And the Hamish:

And finally, look Ma no sporran. Two side slash pockets and one apron pocket:

Well worth the wait, the kilt is beautifully sewn and after a full day mostly sitting had almost no wrinkles in the pleats. Good summer weight for North Carolina. This is my first kilt from Steve and I'm already saving for the next one.
