This weekend our little town hosted it's annual Lily Festival. Lots of things going on including a street fair, car shows, town-wide yard sales, and an antique show & sale.

Friday afternoon I wandered around downtown taking in the many sidewalk sale events. At the local thrift shop I stumbled across these two cool finds...

Friday night I went to a small car show at the local drive-in restaurant, wearing my SWK Hunting McLeod standard. Huge crowds, lots of cool cars, and the only comments about the kilt came from a couple of friends. I would have been more surprised if they hadn't commented, lol. No pics from the event, sorry.

Today I went to check out the antique sale and came home with these. Sorry for the poor pics, I'll try to scan the stereoscope cards later.

Card caption is "Scotland's pride - The great Forth Bridge and the Highland Kilt"

Card caption is "Comin' thro' the rye".

I also got this interesting book published in 1816, called "Scots Worthies".

I also met up with a local piper who spends alot of his noon-hour lunch breaks playing the pipes in the local cemetary. I told him about Xmarks, hopefully he'll join in some day.

All in all, a pretty decent weekend!
