tonight is a pub nite
now anyway, after hearing the news. i went to sign my MEB paperwork today (army) and i got to see what doctors and my CO wrote. i know i have no control over what happend and i know its probably better in the long run. but i love the army and seeing " does not meet retention standard", " non redeployabled ", and " i reccomend not retaning this soldier" really kinda tugs on my heart. ive always put my all into everything ive done in life and seeing that im no longer fit for duty kinda sucks. nothing a few pints of guiness wont cure i guess. thanks for listening to my rant!

It's not easy to turn to the next chapter in your life when you love what you've been doing and it couldn't have been easy to read those words. Have a pint or two, for sure, but don't let yourself get discouraged.

ive got some pretty bad nerve damage to my groin and "the boys". i had an electrical stimulator placed into my back but since it still hasnt helped me all that much i " dont meet the retention standards ". its not all that bad though. im looking at a commercial diving school as a friend of mine had a back injury and became an underwater welder. he said due to the zero gravity it doesnt hurt his back at all and now makes a pretty hefty check. so maybe its all for the better.
