Had some time tonight so captured a few pictures of my Alphakilt Compass.
The attachment system is very useful. Webbing and a strap with a snap is used for the waist adjustment as well as the side pockets. This webbing can also be used to hang other items you may have. It fits the Maxpedition gear. I planned taking a picture with a couple of Maxpedition pouches attached but I forgot as I was setting up the photo shoot. I think you can get the general idea if you have any of their gear or others like it.
Taking a picture of black cloth is hard to see detail so I overexposed the fill flash. With any luck you can see the detail. Using the fence as a backdrop resulted in a shadow that make it appear the back of the kilt is longer than the front. It is not, just a shadow.
The side pockets are removable. Here is one picture with the pocket and the other without.
The webbing goes all the way around the outside of the kilt. The pockets attach here as well as any extra stuff you may want to hang on the webbing.
Here is how you attach the strap. This is on one of the pocket straps. There are four straps on each pocket so those suckers are not going anywhere once attached. Same arrangement for the waist band; One strap on the left and one on the right. When attaching the waist I was having some trouble getting the strap down through the waist webbing. Now that I have had some practice it is not a problem. The waist webbing has five locations where you can pass the strap through. I am using the one in the center as I assume that is the location that matches the ordered waist size.
The pockets have a bunch of compartments as you can see:
