Boys Cargo "trews" at LL Bean?

Well, score one for tartan pants, I guess. LL Bean is advertising these in their kids' catalog: drawstring tartan cargo pants. Okay, so they're cotton, not wool, and it's possible that only the Dress Campbell is a registered tartan (I'm sure someone will have the reference to LL Bean's plaids), but maybe it's a gateway article of clothing. Soon, the wee boys'll nae be satisfied unless it's a true hand-sewn tank (with cargo pockets).

    Hi Rob,

L.L. Bean have their own registered tartan - strange that they decided not to use it and make one up instead.

From the Scottish Register of Tartans:

The information held within The Scottish Register of Tartans for the "Bean Hunting" tartan is shown below.

    STA ref: 4200
    STWR ref: none
    Designer: Kinloch Anderson Ltd
    Tartan date: 01/01/1988
Registration date: This tartan was recorded prior to the launch of The Scottish Register of Tartans.
    Category: Corporate

Restrictions: Yes. For the corporate use of LL Bean Inc.

Registration notes: Woven to celebrate the 75th anniversary of L.L.Bean Inc, Freeport, Maine, USA, who are outdoor sporting specialists. The colours represent the MacBain and MacIntosh connections.

    Regards

    Chas
