Back in the Kilt
The week before and the two weeks of my vacation to Scotland and France, I was always kilted. My trousers hung in the closet. Today, it had been 10 days without wearing the kilt.
So, today I had decided to re-kilt! I went to work in my USA Kilt semi trad in the Stewart Black tartan. A member of the community where I work who had recently moved sent me a newspaper article that had a kilted picture of me in it. He came in to the office today, and was pleased to find me kilted. He discussed his Scottish heritage and it turns out both our mothers were Robertsons! He was delighted. He is pictured below.

Told the wife I was going to stop by the Fredericksburg pub for a pint after work. She suggested I include dinner. Knowing Sir William is fond of the Bellhaven Cream Ale that is served at the Pub, I emailed him to see if he could join me. He did and we shared our adventures in Scotland. He wore his new double box pleat by Lady Crystal in the Elliot tartan. I had seen his kilt ten days ago hanging in Lady Crystal’s sewing room when I visited her and Robert (Ancienne Alliance). As nice as the kilt looked when I saw it in France, it looked even better with Bill wearing it. It was a good day to be kilted!

Great photos, good to see you're kilted again, I hope Bill wears the new kilt on his trip to Toronto, I'd love to see the Lady Chrystel in person.

Excellent pics and a very positive response, I guess you will be going kilted to work more often. Its great to see the picture of you and Sir William together, both of whom I met separately during your respective Scottish visits.

Good to see you're back in your kilt Ern!
I'll be kilted on saturday at the pipe band championships... I'll hopefully have my new caera by then to get a few good snaps!
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

Watch out for the Inveraray Distric Pipe Band, they are a good bet to do well.
