Men, don your kilts!
My friend sent me an email with this subject line. We are in an informal contest on the utility on kilts vs. pants. (I am in the lead because I used a kilt pin to fix a computer.)
There is a contest to be won in the name of he who is man enough to wear the kilt!
Robert Basler, the author of a "News" blog that I follow, Reuters Oddly Enough, has posted a piece asking readers to vote for the most macho world leader by leaving their vote in the comments section. The candidates are President Barack Obama, Prime Minister Vladamir Putin, and Prince Charles.
To facilitate choosing, Mr. Basler has supplied pictures of the leaders. In the first, Putin is putting on a pair of sunglasses, Obama is already wearing a pair of sunglasses, and Charles is wearing a hat with a large feather in it. In the second, Putin is shirtless and is stalking something or someone with a high powered rifle, Obama is pitching in the Major Leagues, and Charles is sitting daintily in a kilt wondering where his hat went.
Right now it seems to be neck and neck between Putin and Obama, but I hope that you can spread this link around X Marks the Scott and tie this one up for kilts!

For those who may not be aware - the hat with the feather in it worn by HRH is part of the Order of the Garter costume.

Well yes it's regalia but it's also a costume!

When Vladimir Putin was growing up, he had a paper route.
...There were no survivors.
