Jonesing over
Well my new kilt arrived from Florida early today. in record time for what I was expecting going into a holiday weekend. Its a lil snug on me but I'm cutting some weight so should be a great fit in a few weeks. got a chance to wear it around the house after work today.
I grand kilted thank you goes out to JolyStNicholas for this wonderful addition to my kilt collection.
The kilt is the Black Thistle tartan which was a great option as my mothers maiden name was Thistle.
I'll try and get a few pics of it on me tomorrow. I think I might wear it down to the pub with a couple friends tomorrow. I'm the only one kilted around here, still working on the rest of them.
Now to start saving and searching for the next addition. thats it I'm hooked.

That's a sweet kilt. I like how dark it is, much different than the image posted of the tartan. Good purchase, Santa really delivered.

I'm really a fan of the darker kilts, a little more subdued. The pics don't do it justice the purple really pops. now to get/make some nice green flashes to bring out the color a bit more.

I've not seen the Black Thistle tartan before. Looks nice. Look forward to seeing the photos.

I'm glad all is well with the kilt arrival. I too await the arrival of the photo's. I loved the colors in the kilt, but the weight loss made it far to large for me . Wear it in grand health me friend.

I wasn't familiar with this tartan, either, but it's a beauty. Congratulations!!

Yeah it seems someone unorthodox to have that black and the purple from what you seen in most tartans but it really is an eye catcher.
